Asteria's Nocturnal Remedy, a favorite amongst the magical. Created for her daughter Hecate, and when worry kept her awake at night, her mother's Nocturnal Remedy allowed her to rest. She often liked to use it if only to allow her mind to drift to a sleep that allowed prophetic dreams , and tellings of the future. With stars in her eyes, it's no wonder her enchanting remedy works it's magic on all who wrap themselves in it's silky veil.
 
Artemisia, Lavender, and Frankincense wreathed in Roses, Jasmine, and Gardenia, the perfect dream team of lucid dreaming herbs, flowers, and resin. This is Asteria's Remedy, The Starry One, The One With The Starry Eyes. In a vivid dream. Came a secret prescription for sleep filled with prophetic dreams, filled with dreams that tell stories to your soul. The medicine to call on the Starry One to assist you in your nocturnal endeavors. The journey you may not know you take while you are asleep. But The Starry One has the remedy to help you remember.
 
A whipped body butter created with plant butters emulsified into our own artisan co-distilled hydrosol of lavender, jasmine, rose, gardenia, frankincense, and artemisia. Distilling the plants together creates an amazing herbal melange that would not be the same if I was to blend the hydrosols seperately. The fragrance is incredibly cooling, soothing, calming. I wanted the scent to be lasting but not overpowering, so you can enjoy the smell as you drift off to sleep. I added my own handcrafted white french lavender concrete, which imbued the formulation with the glorious scent of fresh lavender, sweet with no sharp camphor notes, no herbal notes, just beautiful floral lavender. My Rose, Gardenia, and Jasmine flower Enfleurages add the icing to the cake for the scent story, lucious and luxury. And finally to round out the herbal deliciousness, and heighten the experience, a teeny bit of sourced Blue Lotus Flower Wax was added last. It was the perfect final touch to the heavenly scent. A beautiful blend of silky plant butters upon your skin, and layers of luscious botanical fragrance to lull you off to sweet, sweet dreams. The formula is thick, rich, and heavy, but absorbs quickly with no greasiness.
 
To make the experience even more wonderful, I created a pillow spray using the hydrosol, and the essential oil which was seperated from the hydrosol after the co-distillation. There was far too much essential oil to keep intact safely. I emulsified the essential oil back into the hydrosol using a natural, ecocertified surfacant/emulsifier, and properly preserved it with a natural preservative. I added back as much of the essential oil as possible, to create a water perfume; diffusive and lasting on your pillow, but not too overpowering for bedtime. This spray can also be used on skin and is perfect to spray on for extra hydration, before moisturizing with the Whipped Body Butter.
